AC Martin multifamily design in Sausalito featured in San Francisco Chronicle

An AC Martin-designed multifamily development in Sausalito for Bayspring Development Partners, was recently featured in the San Franciso Chronicle marking the first project to emerge as a result of voter approved Measure J. This project would be one of Sausalito’s biggest residential complexes, driven forward by the town’s state-mandated housing requirements for the planning of 724 units by 2031.
The project’s architecture is informed by the town’s established scale, working waterfront heritage, and utilitarian architectural language. It would feature 294 units -13 of which are affordable housing for very low-, low-, and moderate-income households - including 377 parking stalls and 20 bike stalls. The project features 25,000 SF of open space, reflecting Sausalito’s organic connection to the outdoors.
The development at 1 Harbor Drive will ultimately deliver meaningful new housing to Sausalito, without displacing industrial or maritime uses in the Marinship, and is likely to be the beginning of similar projects in the area.
