CSU Channel Islands Gateway Hall Ribbon Cutting

CAMARILLO, CA - A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on August 22, 2025 to celebrate the grand opening of Gateway Hall, the campus’ new “front door” that is a beautiful and welcoming space for students, faculty, and the surrounding community. The new spaces provide intuitive, user-friendly, and easy to navigate innovative environments for learning, interaction, and collaboration. CSU Channel Islands President Sue Andrzejewski and Student Government President Emily Condé welcomed guests from the campus and external community, representatives from the CSU Chancellor’s Office were also in attendance.
Gateway Hall provides approximately 80,000 SF of renovated existing facilities and new construction. The project houses campus admission, and a new “one-stop-shop” for student services, including financial aid, registrar, and advising. The new building also houses new general classrooms, and high-tech labs for computer science, cybersecurity, mechatronics (with drone-ready ceiling), game design, and mathematics.
