Together California Grand Opening

PALMDALE, CA. — A Grand Opening Celebration took place on September 9, 2026 for the completion of Together California: A Village for Brothers and Sisters, a visionary foster home project committed to keeping siblings in foster care united and thriving.

The notion that it takes a village to raise a child inspired the planning of the Together California Village co-founded by actor Christian Bale, his wife Sibi Bale, Dr. Eric Esrailian, and Tim McCormick after roughly 18 years of planning and development. Twelve thoughtfully crafted townhome units create a healthy, secure environment where children can grow and flourish. In addition, two studio units offer flexible living arrangements for young adults transitioning out of foster care, ensuring that every child’s unique needs are met with compassion and care.

The 7,000-square-foot Community Building includes a multipurpose room for a range of activities and a Learning Lab to nurture children’s educational growth. The Community Building also includes a fully equipped kitchen, administrative offices, case manager workspaces, and a conference room, creating a dynamic space for collaboration and communication while providing the services children need to thrive.

Outdoor spaces are designed to meet a wide range of needs. From expansive areas for community gatherings to intimate corners for quiet play and study, the project ensures that every child can find solace and joy. Covered outdoor areas with barbecues and tables create spaces for shared meals and bonding, fostering a sense of family and community. Diverse outdoor play spaces accommodate children of different ages, while a citrus grove and gardening area instill a connection to nature and sustainable practices.

Sustainable practices are present throughout the project. The landscape design features indigenous and drought-tolerant plantings, reflecting a commitment to environmental stewardship. Photovoltaic panels are strategically positioned throughout the site to generate electricity and provide shade over parking areas, merging sustainability with functionality.

The exterior design of the townhomes echoes the high-desert mountain views surrounding the Village and is tailored to Palmdale’s local climate, including winter and summer sun and winds. The buildings’ configuration on the site helps reduce energy consumption. Exterior window shades keep the interiors cool during the summer months, creating a comfortable and eco-friendly living environment.
