Michael Chang Named an ENR West Top 30 under 40 Young Professional
AC Martin is proud to announce that Managing Principal Michael Chang, AIA, DBIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been named one of ENR West’s 2026 Top Young Professionals by Engineering News-Record. The annual recognition honors emerging leaders under 40 who are making significant contributions to the architecture, engineering, and construction industry across the western United States.
Since joining AC Martin in 2015, Chang has played a key role in advancing the firm’s work across higher education, civic, science and technology, and specialized renovation projects. His leadership and technical expertise have helped guide complex projects and multidisciplinary teams while contributing to the continued growth of the firm. Chang was named Studio Principal in 2022 and promoted to Managing Principal in 2025, becoming one of the youngest individuals in the firm’s history to hold the role.
Beyond project leadership, Chang is deeply committed to mentorship and industry engagement. He currently serves as a Director on the AIA Los Angeles Board of Directors, is active in the ACE Mentor Program, and serves as President of the Asian American Architects and Engineers Association. This recognition highlights Chang’s leadership, dedication to mentorship, and ongoing contributions to the built environment.
