Retained by Hilton Hotels Corporation, AC Martin has designed the new Guerlain Spa and Fitness Center, operated by Spa Chakra, at the world famous Waldorf=Astoria. Located on Park Avenue in the heart of luxurious New York City, the 14,000 SF spa and fitness center on the 19th floor features the Guerlain product line, a world leader in beauty for nearly 200 years, and the ground breaking therapies of Spa Chakra.
AC Martin has rejuvenated and redefined luxury urban-spa design. The scheme was conceived to integrate with Spa Chakra’s unique operational practices and the tradition of luxury associated with Guerlain. The signature guest experience is a personalized one, with increased standards of service and privacy. There are a total of 16 treatment rooms, including one couples’ suite, a hydrotherapy room and two Vichy suites.
Rich and carefully selected materials – marble, mosaic tiles, cast glass, custom crystal light fixtures and natural woods – are warm and neutral in tone and are precisely detailed in a minimalist manner yielding tranquil spaces that are uncluttered and sophisticated.
