As of Monday, the Wilshire Grand workers have set a Guinness World Record by pouring 42,930 tons of concrete in one go for the construction of the Hotel in Los Angeles.

NBC Los Angeles reports as the concrete trucks start rolling in to Downtown Los Angeles.

The LA Times writes about Wilshire Grand and how it will take a major step forward Saturday February 15th when more than 2,000 truckloads of concrete are driven through downtown for what is being billed as the world's largest continuous concrete pour.

In this article, The Guardian writes about the 21,200 cubic yards (16,200 cubic metres) of concrete to be dumped by 2,120 trucks over a 30-hour period.
