Matt Cobo

Matt is a Studio Principal and has worked on various large-scale projects throughout Southern California. Since joining the firm in 2007, Matt has contributed his detail-oriented project management style, technical knowledge, and client liaison skills to lead some of the most complex projects in the residential market sector, ranging from high-rise residential towers to high density mixed-use projects. 

Janet Cheng

With over 20 years of experience, Janet has extensive experience in both design and management of various project types and complexities, ranging from multifamily, mixed-use, affordable housing and hospitality to commercial tenant improvement and building repositioning. As a Project Director, Janet is responsible for leading Northern California’s Pleasanton office. While Janet has deep roots and knowledge of the Los Angeles area, she carries her expertise and strengths to the Bay Area and works closely with clients, serving that region’s market.

Michael Chang

Michael has over 10 years of experience working on expedited large urban projects in the US and abroad, specializing in retail design with emphasis on interior and exterior improvements.

His expertise lies in projects that require tight scheduling while maintaining high client standards and quality control with his responsibilties ranging from program management through construction administration as design and production lead.

Rup Chand

With nearly 40 years of experience as an architect, designer, and project manager, Rup Chand, AIA, is a respected figure in the field. Specializing in educational architecture, he has led many transformative projects for numerous school districts in Northern and Central California. Rup brings extensive experience to ensure each project is executed with precision, delivering optimal results within budgetary constraints.

Jeremy Grant

As the Studio Director, Jeremy has more than 20 years of experience primarily in the retail and hospitality sectors designing and executing more than 40 hotel projects, ranging from national flags to local boutique hotels. He is detail-driven and has extensive understanding of the hospitality embellishment and lifestyle culture that market sector demands. 

Tammy Jow

For over 25 years, Tammy has worked on some of AC Martin’s most significant projects.  She is currently the Project Executive for the Resources Building Renovation in Sacramento.  Her diverse body of work includes the New Natural Resources Headquarters, the Madera County Courthouse, the Hollenbeck Police Station, and the Joe Serna Jr.

Susan O’Connell

As the Managing Principal in charge of the Public-Private Sector, Susan is in charge of keeping the big goals of design, budget, and schedule in balance for the Higher Education, Aviation, and Special Services Studios, by establishing overall sector objectives and coordinating the implementation plans of the distinct studios. She is a hands-on Principal, and provides executive level management of select major projects.

Jim Dixon

Jim is Chief Operating Officer overseeing operations firmwide across the four California offices. In Jim's prior role as Managing Principal, Jim led the firm’s private sector practice that includes residential, commercial/industrial, office, and hospitality. With over 37 years of experience as an architect, planner, designer, project manager, project director, and director of architecture on a wide range of project types, he is knowledgeable about all aspects of project development and firm operations.

Tom Hsieh

Tom Hsieh is the CEO and President of AC Martin, where he leads an integrated team of architectural professionals focusing on addressing the challenges and needs of the community through the design of the built environment.  As a member of the firm’s executive management team, Tom provides high level leadership to the firm’s planning, architecture, and interiors practices by driving long-range strategy; creating a culture of collaboration, diversity, and inclusivity; pushing sustainable and innovative thinking; building new markets; and guiding the company to thrive in changing conditions.

Christopher C. Martin

Christopher C. Martin is the third generation leader of AC Martin, one of California’s oldest architecture firms. His work has contributed to the economic vitality of downtown Los Angeles, and as a civic leader, he has devoted a significant portion of his time to critical issues facing the City and County of Los Angeles. Having recently completed the Wilshire Grand Redevelopment Project in downtown Los Angeles, where Martin Project Management (MPM) served as the Owner’s Development Manager, Chris has resurrected the role of Master Architect that Albert C. Martin Jr. and Edward J.
