Allison Sumner

Allison is a Senior Project Manager in AC Martin’s Los Angeles office. With 20 years in the field of architecture, she has been actively involved in various project types such as market-rate residential, senior housing, and adaptive reuse. She is passionate about providing excellent project management with her hands-on approach. Her attention to maintaining clear communication between the owner, consultants, city officials, and other team members ensures that each project runs smoothly from design development to the certificate of occupancy.

Paul Veloz

Paul has over 30 years of experience focused on the use of technology in architectural design and was instrumental in the adoption of BIM and Information Technology for many notable firms. He has expert knowledge of a diverse range of AEC technologies, including the many workflows used for BIM. Paul works with digital practice teams in the use, support, and application of Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks, Virtual Reality, and other related technologies.

Sami Khoury

Sami is a Principal and Project Director of commercial and multifamily projects. He is versatile with strong abilities in organizational and strategic planning, staffing, budgeting, forecasting, fee structuring, and contract writing and administration using AIA and FIDIC contracts. Sami has excellent understanding of real estate development and finance in urban planning, architectural design, and construction.

Satoshi Teshima

Satoshi is an award-winning design leader who strives to create engaging and thoughtful environments that serve communities. He unconditionally embraces collaboration working closely with stakeholders and leading design teams to interpret and distill the vast array of desires and goals set by our clients and communities; the result is a very specific, authentic, and highly contextual solution. With a keen sense of social responsibility, Satoshi believes that well designed physical environments can enhance one’s well-being, improve learning, and contribute to the overall human experience.

At the recent DBIA Western Pacific Region Conference held in Napa, California the design-build team for the New Natural Resources Headquarters (NNRH) presented the educational session, “Maximizing the Big Room Experience for Design-Build Excellence.”  The team including Richard Standiford (Department of General Services), Dan Wheeler and Jim Hull (Turner Construction), Jenna Baker (Glumac), and Tammy Jow (AC Martin) shared unique perspectives and experiences toward achieving a successful Big Room.

Taix Redevelopment Project Moves Forward

The Los Angeles City Planning Commission recently voted to approve the new mixed-use development project located at the iconic Taix French Restaurant site in Echo Park. Embracing the neighborhood’s rich architectural history and progressive building design changes, the redesign introduces a fresh take on this unique development by incorporating architecture that is rooted in geographical and cultural context. The new design will thoughtfully engage and support the surrounding community in terms of building scale and vernacular.

Women Build 2022

Women of AC Martin proudly joined Turner Construction Company in Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento’s Women Build 2022. The team helped in painting, nailing, and installing shear walls, and post and beams at homes. The program will provide affordable homeownership to 60 low-income individuals including 40 children. We are happy to support Habitat for Humanity in their mission to help change lives through shelter. Big thanks to Deborah Lesnefska, Tammy Jow, Grit Pasker, Sarah Ho and Tongxiao (Emma) Shen of AC Martin and Cristina J.

Grit Pasker

Grit has over 21 years of experience encompassing institutional, civic, hospitality, and residential projects. As a technical director and project architect she takes a leadership role throughout all phases of design, permitting, and construction ensuring the project’s successful completion at a high level of functionality and design excellence.
